Richy is our Lead Instructor. A professional fitness coach with a Diploma in Personal Training and Gym Instruction, he is also a Nutritional Advisor and Level 2 Hatton Academy Boxing Instructor.
Richy served 22 years in the Parachute Regiment, leaving as a Sergeant. The ‘Paras’ are Britain’s fittest and toughest Infantry troops, for whom fitness is the most important aspect of their lives.
Highly motivated to seeing others get people fitter and healthier, Richy is dedicated to helping you to lose weight and achieve your goals. He’ll help you improve your health and well-being through fun and positive encouragement.
Martin served more than seven years with 1st Battalion Parachute Regiment, leaving as Lance Corporal. Since exiting military service, he has continued to serve the community in the form of full-time fire-fighter.
Remaining very active in health and fitness, Martin has a keen interest in anaerobic and aerobic fitness and nutrition, and is physical education supervisor for his branch of the fire service.
A keen long-distance runner outside of work, Martin competes in half-marathons and has also successfully led a team to complete the three peaks challenge.
Martin is qualified in first aid at work, and holds a PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualification.
